    Clear away life’s blocks! I realise that all my Clear away life’s blocks! I realise that all my life I have held stories about people’s behaviours and my own and judged them as right or wrong. As life goes on I am learning to be softer and to realise that I am carrying stories inside me from hurt that was never healed from my past and the past of my ancestor. So when I hear a story and I am Quick to have an opinion I am trying to slow down and surrender in that moment as the thought is coming through my perceptions. One example is how I have judged certain men and I have realised recently that I was carrying hurt that belonged to a relative about how she was treated in her marriage. As I realised this I became aware of how I was using her lens to look at certain men- it was not my story but hers. It was a revelation! Almost as if I was holding onto an old piece of furniture that was dominating my room that I did not like and now I could release it. It is an ongoing journey but I am so grateful to start to let go of some rigid beliefs I have been carrying. #lovecoach #stories #life #surender #release

    I saw the divine @jordanfstephens of @rizzlekicks I saw the divine @jordanfstephens of @rizzlekicks interviewed by the insightful @chantayyjayy through @intelligencesquared @brighton_dome last night and was blown away by the experience as he talked about being a young man, growing up with mixed heritage in a mainly white Brighton, dealing with fame, grief and trauma and the privilege of having time to fall apart to do this and what young men and boys need to thrive. One of his incredibly salient points was the offering the idea that we should release the idea of having a type for a partner as this may merely mirror a trauma bond with an attachment figure and our longing to heal it. Instead he offers the idea of writing down how you wish to feel around a partner (happy, laughing, sharing, dancing etc) and focus on that and noticing who makes you feel like this. He was also very clear that many of us may ghost or mistreat romantic partners because we are reluctant to allow love and deep bonds into our lives so keep the distance going. He was continually unfaithful till one partner called time on him for this and it broke his heart and lead to his healing and now true love. This was a very satisfying night.
